Andasibe to St. Marie – The East – day to day

Day 1: Arrival at Ivato aero port – Antananarivo – hotel

We will meet at the International Airport of Ivato and transfer you to the hotel in the center of the city. Overnight at ‘Le Chalet des Roses Hotel’, standard room.

Day2 : Antananarivo – Peyreiras reptiles farm at Marozevo – Andasibe – Night walk – Andasibe – Hotel

After breakfast, we drive to Andasibe and around noon, we stop to visit Pereiras Nature Farm. Also, known as Mandraka Reptile Farm, here you can see and photograph some of the Island’s most extraordinary reptiles and invertebrates. Unfortunately some of the animals are kept in crowded and stressful conditions. In the evening, arrival in Andasibe and after nocturnal visit along the road, we rest at the “Feon’ny Ala” hotel. Overnight at Feon’ny Ala hotel, standard lodge bungalow.

Day 3: Andasibe – Analamazaotra National Park – Andasibe – Ilot De Lodge Vakona – Andasibe – Hotel

After breakfast; visit the National Park of Analamazaotra to see (and hear…:)) the biggest Lemur of Madagasikara. This is also the opportunity to see many different species of chameleons, birds, orchids, etc. Back to the hotel for lunch. At 2 PM, we drive to Vakona’s Park to visit the islands of Lemurs, Crocodiles, Birds and reptiles. Overnight at Feon’ny Ala hotel, standard lodge bungalow.

Day 4: Andasibe – Mahambo – Hotel

After breakfast: we continu towards Toamasina, then destination to Mahambo.
At the beginning of the evening: arrival in Mahambo, a lovely and peaceful beach resort with safe swimming facilities. Night: at the “La Pirogue” hotel, standard bungalow.

Day 5: Mahambo – Soanieran, Ivongo – Motor Boat to St. Marie – Hotel

After breakfast we drive to Soanieran’ Ivongo to assure the transport from Soanieran’ Ivongo to Sainte Marie Island (by motor boat). A 2 hour boat trip to a beautiful tropical Island. Overnight at Libertalia hotel, luxury room.

Day 6: A half day whale watching in Sainte Marie

The humpback whales migrate during winter from Antarctica to warmer waters for reproduction and giving birth. This migration brings them to the Sainte-Marie channel in Madagascar. Humpback whales can reach lengths of up to 16 meters and weigh as much as 30 tons! Every year, from July 1st to the end of September, the CétaMada NGO organizes daily whale watching experiences. This offers the opportunity to observe these magnificent marine mammals with an eco-guide who will address all your questions. Departures are scheduled every morning, allowing for three hours of whale watching. Return to the hotel and you will be free to relax or explore the island.

Day 7: Day trip to Ilots sable and Iles aux Nattes

Explore Ilots aux Sables by boat, an island solely formed of sand, offering breathtaking views of Sainte Marie and bustling birdlife. Located 4 km off Sainte Marie’s east coast, surrounded by three coral islets, Ilots aux Sables boasts diverse seashells and pristine lagoons perfect for diving and snorkeling. Spend your day swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the tranquil atmosphere. After a morning of sea and sand, venture to Ile aux Nattes for lunch (not included). This small island is a picturesque paradise with turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and palm trees. Enjoy a leisurely canoe ride to discover lemurs, rare orchids, and stunning beaches. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 8: St. Marie Aero Port – Ivato Aero Port

In the morning we depart from the hotel to Sainte Marie aero port and you fly to Ivato aero port (Antananarivo) then flying back home. End of service: tour ends at Ivato aero port.
