Day 1: Ivato airport – Antananarivo – Hotel
Welcome to Madagascar, the 4th largest island in the world! Our goal is to make your trip to the Big Island a unique and unforgettable experience throughout your life. Upon your arrival at Ivato International Airport, our guide will welcome you and settle you at your hotel. We make all formalities and some local exchanges. Overnight at Le Chalet des Roses hotel, standard room.
Day 2: Antananarivo – The Royal Hill Of Ambohimanga – Antananarivo – Ampefy – Hotel
We will meet again at the hotel in Antananarivo and drive through the vibrant city to visit the King’s Palace on the Blue Hill of Ambohimanga.
Royal Hill of Ambohimanga: The Royal Hill of Ambohimanga, a “UNESCO World Heritage” site, is one of Madagascar’s most important cultural landmarks. This historic hill is considered the spiritual and ancestral home of the Merina people and offers a deep insight into the island’s royal history. Visitors can explore ancient royal palaces, sacred sites, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
We head for Ampefy and will drive to beautiful landscapes then experience the life of the Merina tribe. We arrive in Ampefy before the evening. Overnight at Farihy hotel, Standard, Luxury or Duplex bungalow.
Day 3: Ampefy – Chute de la Lily – Ampefy – Ilot de la vierge Marie – Ampefy – Hotel
After breakfast, we will visit an impressive waterfall, the “Chute de la Lily”. Optional we can do an excursion with a Malagasy guide.
Waterfall “Chute de la Lily”: The Chute de la Lily is a spectacular waterfall located near Ampefy. This natural wonder is an ideal spot for nature lovers and photographers. The serene environment and the thunderous sound of water cascading down the rocks make it a perfect place for a relaxing day trip.
In the afternoon, we will visit the “Ilôt de la vierge Marie”
Ilot de la Vierge Marie: Ilot de la Vierge Marie is a small Island known for its tranquil beauty. The Island is a great place for a peaceful retreat, offering picturesque views and a serene atmosphere. It’s a wonderful spot for a picnic or simply to enjoy the natural surroundings. Overnight at Farihy hotel, standard, Luxury or Duplex bungalow.
Day 4: Ampefy – Geysers – Lemurs Park – The Upper Town Of Tana – Antananarivo – Hotel
After breakfast, we’ll be driving towards the geysers… Through a beautiful typical highland scenery with grass covered hills, flowery meadows and plantations of pawpaw on both sides of the road. The bubbling and spouting of the three geysers in combination with the pale, off-white mineral deposits make quite a spectacle. Around 12.00 hours we will drive to a Lemur park where we can have lunch. Then we’ll visit this private 4ha park with six species of lemurs, many other animals and medicinal plants. Afternoon: Driving to Antananarivo and walk up to the Queen’s Palace for a nice view then to imagine its former grandeur… Overnight at Samsara hotel, suite room.
