The Indri Indri Tour (Wildlife tour) – Andasibe the East – day to day

Day 1: Ivato Aero Port – Antananarivo City – Hotel

Upon arrival at Ivato International Airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to a hotel in the city center. After check-in, we’ll handle all required formalities and can also assist you with exchanging your currency into local money.

Overnight at Chalet des Roses Hotel (Standard Room).

Day 2: Antananarivo – Pereyras Reptiles Farms in Marozevo – Andasibe – Vakona Lodge Forest hotel – Nights walk in Andasibe – Hotel

Meet at the hotel in Antananarivo and depart for Andasibe. On the way, enjoy a morning visit to a reptile farm to see Madagascar’s many species of chameleons. After the visit, stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, continue the drive to Andasibe. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and meet the local guide for a briefing about the night walk. After dinner, take a guided night walk in Andasibe to search for nocturnal lemurs, including the Goodman’s mouse lemur, as well as other nocturnal wildlife such as frogs, snakes. Return to the hotel afterward.

Day 3: Andasibe – Analamazaotra National Park – Andasibe – Ilot De Lodge Vakona – Andasibe – Hotel:

Enjoy a morning visit to Analamazaotra National Park for a guided walk of approximately 2 to 4 hours. This visit offers the chance to spot  the Indri indri, along with various other species of lemurs, as well as birds, orchids, and insects.

Return to the hotel for lunch.

At around 2:00 p.m., depart for Vakona’s reserve to visit the Lemur Island. Here, you will encounter black-and-white ruffed lemurs, Brown lemurs, Eastern Grey Bamboo lemur and other species.

We’ll drive to the crocodile farms at the Vakona Hotel, where you’ll discover the Nile crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus).

These imposing reptiles are the largest crocodiles in Africa and dominate the rivers of sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar. Adult males can reach up to 5.5 meters in length and weigh as much as 750 kilograms.

Nile crocodiles inhabit freshwater lakes, rivers, and swamps, then are also well adapted to brackish waters throughout these regions.

After completing the visits above, return to the hotel for some well-deserved relaxation.

Day 4: Andasibe – Antananarivo – The Upper Town in Antananarivo – Digue Market – Ivato aero port (Transfer)

After breakfast, we drive back to Antananarivo. Visit the Upper Town, which overlooks the city and offers a magnificent panoramic view. Continue with shopping at the Digue craft market for local handicrafts.

Afterward, transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
